IF Retail Management Now Available

Mukilteo, Wash., January 23, 2008 – Wizard International, Inc. announced the release of IF Retail Management, the second module of Integrated Framer (IF) Suite.

IF Retail Management is a business management system for pricing, invoicing and tracking the production of custom frame jobs. It allows framers to grow their business while efficiently managing their operations. IF Retail Management’s intuitive user-interface groups related functions on a single screen, reducing training time as well as selling time.

With the seamless integration of IF Retail Management, IF Visualization and Wizard’s MatDesigner software, framers can visualize a completed frame job for their customer, accurately price it and cut it on their Wizard CMC without repeating any steps or re-entering any information.

One of the most touted features of IF Retail Management is the cost-based pricing system.  “This system will eliminate the guesswork when it comes to pricing, and allow framers to graduate to a true cost-oriented, custom framing solution”, said Steve Kerr, CPF and Senior Software Engineer for Wizard. 

Right out of the box, IF Retail Management will price any job.  However, the pricing administration allows the user to customize their mark up tables with unlimited granularity. It also allows the flexibility to define shop labor rates and time to complete specific tasks; it does not force one labor rate for all procedures.  Shop owners also have the ability to set up pricing for a job based on the sum of the project’s components and special labor processes. Pricing can be based on retail cost or actual cost.

Shop owners can also set up specific “Project Type” shortcuts including, but not limited to: poster, limited edition, original or canvas.  This feature helps enforces pricing policies and helps eliminate errors by using pre-determined materials and processes, depending on the type of artwork. 

The “Delivery Date” function provides the ability to define job lead time and days the business is not open.  It will allow as many or as few jobs to be scheduled on any business day, while providing a visual warning when more jobs than normal are assigned to any specific day.

When used in conjunction with IF Visualization, quotes and invoices generated by IF Retail Management will include a thumbnail image of the completed frame job for reference.

Wizard has introduced a month-to-month subscription program for each module of Integrated Framer Suite.  IF Retail Management is also available for purchase. 

Currently, IF Retail Management is available for the Entrepreneur edition of IF Suite, with the Enterprise edition scheduled to follow later in 2008.  The Entrepreneur edition of IF Suite is tailored towards single frame shops, while the Enterprise edition is designed specifically for multiple location businesses.  The Elite edition provides custom solutions for framing operations with specific software needs or requirements.
